William “Willie” Arthur Jackson Toler was the oldest child of four born to Arthur Gordon Toler and Emma Avery (Smith) Toler, with his being named “Arthur” after his father and “Jackson” after his maternal grandfather, Andrew Jackson “Jack” Smith. He was just shy of the age of 6 when his mother passed away in April of 1924.
Brother to Alice Emma (Toler) Morton, Eugene Columbus Toler and Fred Joseph Toler; husband of Myrtle Frances (Hand) Toler, with their marrying on May 7, 1937 and being married just a few months shy of 50 years; father “Daddy” of Julia (Toler) Whiting, Helen (Toler) Dixon, Pat (Toler) Stewart, Joseph “Joe” Toler, Lydia “Joy” (Toler) Edwards and William “Bill” Toler.

“…He had such a pleasant disposition and personality and always had a kind word and beautiful smile to everyone. He always remembered to add, “Bless the hands that prepared it” in every prayer before each and every meal. He never met a stranger and would help anyone, anytime, anywhere! He was dedicated, loyal and busy for the Lord each and everyday and many, many people have been touched by his life. Not only did he preach it, he lived it.”
