SHIRLEY W. PETTY

FAIRHOPE — Shirley Wilson Petty, a native of Louis ville, Ky., and a resident of Fairhope, died Friday, March 14, 2003 at her home. She was 78.
Mrs. Petty was an ordained minister and a member of South River Park Church of God in Fairhope. She had worked for Goodyear Engineering.
Survivors include her husband, Newel Petty of Fairhope; two sons, the Rev. John Petty of Hickory, N.C., and Charles Petty of Scottsburg, Ind.; four daughters, Jacqualine Stalker of East Lansing, Mich., Janet Burns of Austin, Ind., Jill Chandler of Camblesville, Ky., and Terry Stewart of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral at South River Park Church of God. Burial will be in Timney-South River Park Community Cemetery.
Fairhope Funeral Home & Crematory on Greeno Road in Fairhope is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to South River Park Church of God.
